Pretty much, Governor Vilma Santos-Recto, former A-list celebrity actress of the Philippines, has decided to place a Hollywood like sign in her province by one of the most sacred and nationalistic landmarks of our country – Tall Volcano. Governor Vilma Santos-Recto reportedly plans to erect a sign of “BATANGAS” on the said Taal Volcano, highly known to be one of the smallest volcanoes in the world.
Of course, the online community is crying foul over this whole thing. They’re pissed off because not only are we desecrating a national landmark and turning it into a billboard, but we’re also doing it in a very non-original way by making it similar to the Hollywood sign.
This of course leads many to wonder if this Hollywood type Philippine landmarks proposal is just the first of many…

Hmmm. This looks like a photocopy of the Original Hollywood Sign. I think it is a good idea to go with these signs, but a lot of creativity is must in getting the final work done. And if it resembles much like Hollywood, then it is just being another copycat. I think it should come out of own than trying to resemble another model. This is just a personal opinion, so no offense please.
