Bespoke Suits At TIÑO: Treat Your Man To The BEST Christmas Gift!

A lover of the classic, sophisticated menswear style, this suit was a no-brainer for Mark, my boyfriend. He absolutely enjoyed every step of the experience, and I just had to ask him about his thoughts on getting his first bespoke suit, so guys listen up: here is the testimony straight from the man himself!

I have always believed in getting a great suit to step up your style and game: especially when you’re working in the corporate world, a well-fitting suit is key to earning clients’ and bosses’ great first impressions on you. In fact, take a page from Barney Stinson and you can wear suits anywhere in the urban metropolis: that’s what’s great about Tiño Suits! They produce world-class suits with high-quality fabric that is perfect for the tropical climate in the country.

Because this was my first-ever bespoke suit, it was important for me to start with a basic, versatile suit that would go well with so many occasions: from the office, to the bar. (Bro-tip: if you’re getting your first suit made, try to stay away from black, which is too stiff for the Philippines.) When it came down to it, I chose between navy and gray: I ended up with a dark gray suit with mixed wool fabric.

Now that I had my fabric chosen, it was time for me to decide what cut I was going to get. As a fan of Savile Row, I got my suit in a British cut: ideal for men with boxier figures like me. For the design, I got a notched peak lapel, two hip pockets with flaps, one chest pocket, two side vents for functionality (side vents make it easier to reach into your pockets without showing your undershirt), and working cuffs. I had the buttons placed a little bit lower for the suit to produce a deeper V shape, for a slightly more modern take on a classic. Think Kingsman.

For the pants, I eventually went with pleats for functionality: it gives you more space in your pockets without compromising the fit, and drapes perfectly just by the shoe.

During my experience at Tiño Suits, I had my bespoke fitting three times to ensure the perfect fit. The first step to a great suit is a perfect fit, and that is what Tiño ensured me.

Tino Master Tailor

The master tailor really knew what he was doing and made me comfortable in every step of the process. In fact, every fitting just took a maximum of 5-10 minutes because he was that skilled in getting my size and making sure each measurement was precise and up to my expectations. Tiño’s bespoke suits also corrects irregularities in your body such as sloped shoulders, unequal arm length, etc.

Needless to say, I was more than satisfied with the finished product. I am thrilled that Sam chose to give me this gift for Christmas, as this is something I can use from office meetings to special occasions. A bespoke suit is also a lifetime investment, as you can have this continually altered by your master tailor at Tiño’s.
