Getting out of your comfort zone is generally a gutsy move. What more during a pandemic? While scary and risky, that is exactly what these two friends did when they opened a milk tea shop during the COVID-19 pandemic— a shop called Bes Teas with the quirky hashtag #AngKaTeaMoBes!

Founded by two besteas (pun intended) who were OFWs for many years, they both decided to come home and risk the little money they saved to create their very own milk tea shop. Since milk tea is an evergreen trend, they took the plunge. And the best part? They did it with a low investment at that!
Bes Teas started out four months ago in Binangonan and has since expanded to three other branches, which are located in Malabon, Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall and Meycauayan. Here, you can get your favorites— brown sugar Okinawa, sweet Wintermelon, and even fruity teas and cream cheese drinks at budget-friendly prices. Generally, they range from Php74 for the smallest size to about Php110 for the largest size. Very affordable indeed!

Beyond milk tea, they also have waffles. These crunchy egg waffles are reminiscent of the ones you may find on the streets of Hong Kong, but with tons of sweet toppings to choose from. Whether it’s colorful candies, chocolates, or even some refreshing ice cream, there are so many ways to jazz up your waffles here.
