Bar Dolci – Life is Sweet!

 

 

When it comes to top notch gelatos and macarons, Bar Dolci never fails to deliver! For this weekend, I really made time and didn’t schedule any trips just to show my genuine support and feature their new items on their menu! I’m really glad that Frank, my partner in crime was able to join me that evening!

 

I may not have much time to visit due to my ultra hectic schedule but I must admit that I’m a solid believer of Bar Dolci because of the quality of their items and how they value their customers a lot.  I got so excited when Nicholai, their owner invited me to check on their new items!

 

 

 

Bar Dolci will always hold a special place in my heart for it was here where me and a dear friend of mine spent such a wonderful evening for the last time a few months before she passed away.  She was actually the one who requested me  to feature this place and since we seldom meet, I really made sure to grant her wish and invite her over. I had no idea she was already sick then…. I’m happy though because at least I was able to leave her with good memories. =)

 

 

 

 

For this special feature, we invited some fellow When in Manila writers to join us! It is our 1st time to ever meet in the flesh so I was quite excited to finally see them! I knew that Bar Dolci was the perfect place to meet up because the ambiance at Bar Dolci is very cozy and ideal for  intimate gatherings! A perfect place to make good memories!

 

 

Allow me and Frank to show you the happenings and the newly launched items at Bar Dolci which you should all check out!!

 

 

We started off with servings of  Bar Dolci‘s latest creation called Frappelato!

Imagine your regular frappe with your favorite Bar Dolci gelato!! Wicked!

I had mine with my favorite Salted Caramel while Frank had Dark Chocolate!

Another must try would be the Ferrero Frappelato!!

 

 

 

We each had our own preferred flavors! I’m glad the guys liked it!

Next we tried their Ricotta Strawberry Bruschettas (270php / 3 pcs)

  A very light ‘n subtly sweet snack!

 Perfect for afternoon teas or paired with a cup of your favorite Frappelato!

 

 

 

 

 Next on the menu were various slices of Quiche (180php/slice)

 

 

 

 they come in 4 flavors:  the classic Quiche Lorraine, Bacon & Spinach, Tomato & Basil and Roquefort Cheese & Broccoli

 

 

 

 I have always been a fan of Quiche Lorraine but this time, I also appreciated the Bacon and Spinach!

The others also had their own bets.

 

 

 

 

Bar Dolci also came up with 3 signature sweet savory satisfying sandwiches! They got Tomato & Basil with Mozzarella, Honeyed PorkLoin w/ Gouda Cheese and Turkey Brie w/ Cranberry Chutney !

I’m also a sucker for Gouda!!!

 

 

 

 

I’ve heard such good things about their Gelato Burger  (120php) and it was something I truly enjoyed because it reminded me of my childhood when I used to eat  Sorbetes in a bun!  They gave me the one with Salted Caramel of course!!

 

 I couldn’t forget that perfect marriage between  the warm soft  bum + that creamy cold Salted Caramel gelato!

We also got to try Bar Dolci‘s super heartwarming coffee concoctions…..

 That night wasn’t just really about devouring on those wickedly delectable goodies……

 

…. but also about meeting new people, having fun

 

 

…..strengthening bonds and realizing on how life can truly be sweet!

 

 

 

 

We ended the night with assorted famous signature macarons by Bar Dolci!
