In light of the reinforcement of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, many residents especially those in low-income communities rely on relief goods for their meals day in and day out.
Since there are many jobs that were stopped due to the lockdown, there are individuals who aren’t earning money to support their families.
Hence, the government is stepping up by providing food packs and implementing amelioration programs.
In the City of Manila, they just received new donations and this donation isn’t your usual kind. The donation came from Baguio and it provides a healthier option.
According to Manila Mayor Isko Moreno:
GULAY MULA BAGUIO: Malugod na tinanggap ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Maynila noong Sabado ang donasyong naglalaman ng iba’t-ibang uri ng gulay hatid ng Ang Probinsyano Partylist, sa pangunguna ni Representative Ronnie Ong.
Hopefully, these vegetables will be distributed to those in need soon.
