Ash and Pikachu Leave Pokémon Series After 25 Years

For 25 years, we have followed the story of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu on their journey to become “the very best like no one ever was”. However, the Pokémon series lead characters are now set to leave the anime, as recently announced by the iconic show’s producers.

“Ash and Pikachu have had many encounters, many battles, and many exciting and memorable times… Every adventure is another step on the long path to becoming a Pokémon master, a dream that never ends,” they began their statement.

Then, they revealed the release dates of the final chapter of Ash and Pikachu’s story: “11 episodes to air starting Friday, January 13, 2023, in Japan.” This series finale is said to “commemorate Ash’s journey with a collection of special episodes” which will conclude “Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series” after 25 years.
