Arci Muñoz revealed that she’s joining the military training. She shared about this new chapter of her life on an Instagram post on June 12.
She posted a photo of herself wearing a uniform. She wrote the following caption:
Maligayang Araw ng Kasarinlan mahal kong pilipinas! Ngayon araw din ang aking unang pisikal na pagsasanay bilang kaunaunahang Babae sa aking henerasyon at propesyon na sumasailalim sa #philippineairforce reservist BCMT- Basic Citizen Military Training. Hinihikayat ko po ang aking mga kapwa kababaihan na mag enlist. Marami pong salamat sa aking Philippine air force family. Asahan nyo po ang aking buong pusong dedikasyon at serbisyo.
(Rough translation: Happy Independence Day, Philippines! Today is also my first physical training day as the very first woman in my generation and profession to undergo the Philippine Air Force Reservist BCMT – Basic Citizen Military Training. I encourage fellow women to enlist. Thank you to my Philippine Air Force family. You can rely on my whole-hearted dedication and service.)
Aside from Muñoz, other celebrities who applied and underwent training to be part of the AFP reserve force include JM de Guzman, Kiko Estrada, Gerald Anderson, Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce, and Yves Flores.
Meanwhile, Matteo Guidicelli, Dingdong Dantes, and Rocco Nacino went through rigorous training in their respective titles in the military.
