Anne Curtis Shares the Inspiration Behind Her Short Hair

Anne Curtis surprised the online world after posting her new hairdo on her socials. Last week, the “It’s Showtime” host cut her hair short–like, really short. After years of long hair (and tons of shampoo ads), she now sports a short bob with bangs.

In an episode of her noontime show, her fellow hosts noted her new look. Ryan Bang said, “ang ganda mo! Bagay sa’yo ‘yong [short hair mo].”  On the other hand, Kim Chiu commented, “parang bumata si ate Anne ng 15 years!”

Meanwhile, Jhong Hilario asked her about the inspiration behind the new do. To which she responded, “na-feel ko lang magpa-short hair bigla for a change in life.” The “madlang people” cheered in adornment. Jhong then mentioned how Anne resembled Tokyo from the Spanish drama series “Money Heist”.

The celebrity mom answered “thank you” in French, before revealing her real inspiration–Amélie. Amélie is a French character from a movie with the same title.

“Amélie is an innocent and naive girl in Paris with her own sense of justice. She decides to help those around her and, along the way, discovers love,” the plot goes. Watch the 2001 French movie’s trailer below!
