Spouses Angie and Joey Mead King commemorated their 20th anniversary last Monday, February 16, by penning sweet messages to one another on Instagram.
In her post, Angie shared photos that were taken every year of their relationship, including ones of herself pre-transition. “20 years in 20 slides. Happy 20 years @joeymeadking,” she wrote. “From the very first date[,] I knew that you were it. From the very first selfie together[,] who would have thought 20 years down we would be inseparable[?] Growing up and growing old with you has been a blessing I look forward [to].”

Joey, meanwhile, shared a photo of the two of them visiting the same spot they had their first date at. “Twenty years ago @angiemeadking & I sat on these bar stools sharing a bottle of wine, it was our very first date night. We ended the evening ( well.. early morning) walking out of a club holding hands. Here we are 20years on sans the wine bottle..but still holding hands. Happy Anniversary to us huney.”
She also posted a video compiling photos they’ve taken through the years. “20 years of choosing you and investing in us @angiemeadking,” she wrote.

Angie and Joey married in November 2011. Five years later, in 2016, Angie went public as a transgender woman.
