Ang Tinago Kong Piso: Luz “Lutchie” de la Torre Enriquez-Lombos’ First Children’s Book Launch

Simple but smart! That’s Luz “Lutchie” de la Torre Enriquez-Lombos (Translated into English, her complete name means Light of the Tower that Enriches) who humbly considers herself as “bituing walang ningning”, a star with no brightness! To many, Ms. Lombos said that she’s ain’t a star that doesn’t shine at all but for us she’s a leading and guiding luminary specially for the young children of Lombosco Academy Foundation, Inc., a school in the heart of Katarungan Village, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila.

In connection, Ms. Lombos dreams big for the Filipino youth in her humble ways. She often quotes the lyrics of the song, Bituing Walang Ningning –

Kung minsan ang pangarap
Habambuhay na hinahanap
Bakit nga ba nakapagtataka
Pag ito ay nakamtan mo na
Bakit may kulang pa.

What is still lacking? What could be missing?… In quest for her life’s purpose, she found her niche and that’s in education and her love for literacy. It is her advocacy, indeed!

Making it happen, she has passionately worked on many good things. She’s been opening a new door for another opportunity that leads to a new endeavour. Amazingly, last March 29, 2014 she launched her first Children’s Book, entitled “Ang Tinago Kong Piso” (The Peso-Coin I Kept), written in two (2) Languages. The Children’s Book Event was done at SM Activity Center, Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, at 1:00 pm. There were lots of people who graced the occasion. As part of the event, there was a boy, named Dean Matthew Delantar, a Senior Kinder pupil who held and raised the book. That was the touching gesture and highlight of the book launching. The book was illustrated by Mr. John Alexis G. Elle. It was printed because of the financial support of the author’s husband, Mr. Jun L. Lombos together with the moral support of their three sweethopes, ASEAN Engineer Noe D. Enriquez, her family and close friends.

Admirably in Barney color, Ms. Lombos went up on stage bearing a stellar stance. She is not only the Academy Directess of Lombosco Academy but a poet, a song composer and now an author of the children’s book. Isn’t it cool and inspiring?!

For this reason, rounds of warm applauses and cheerful commendations were heard! Lo and behold, her illuminating name and contribution to the Literacy Program in Lombosco Academy and its International Affiliations brilliantly flashed and rayed everywhere.

The copy is sold at an affordable price. Coming up next is her 2nd Children’s Book entitled “Yehey, Bakasyon Na!”…. Congratulations, Ms. Lombos! More power!
