An All-New Harry Potter Theme Park Might Be Opening in Tokyo, Japan

Potterheads, rejoice! Looks like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Japan isn’t going to be the only theme park you’ll want to keep returning to in future visits. It turns out that Warner Bros Entertainment and Seibu Holdings are planning to open an entirely new and separate theme park dedicated to Harry Potter in Tokyo!

Seibu Holdings is currently in talks with the movie studio as well as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to finalize the Harry Potter attraction and approve its location, which might be where the old Toshimaen Amusement Park currently stands.

According to Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, Seibu Holdings, which is operating the Toshimaen, is considering closing the amusement park gradually, starting this year.

If the project does get approved, we might be able to see it open by Spring 2023!

It is unknown what this new Harry Potter Theme Park will be like and how different it will be to the Universal Studios’ Wizarding World. However, reports say that it might be based on the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studios in London.
