If you’re a true-blue student of Manila, I highly salute you for surviving the everyday hustle and bustle of the main city of the country. You face everyday with the motivation of getting to school on time, notwithstanding the traffic-laden, crowd-cramped streets, smoke and dust, and just about everything that almost hinder you from getting to school on time (for emphasis). Then you get to school and go straight to your first class. Then first class drains the wits out of you. Then first class ends. Then you feel like an energy-boosting break is all you need. And, tell you what? It really is what you exactly need.
Along the famed Espana lies a newly-opened bread and pastry shop that can take away all the stress no matter what time you are taking your break. This dainty shop called Amor Bakery will make you feel like you’ve just stepped outside the boundaries of Manila.
Baking fresh breads and pastries everyday, Amor Bakery has a wide selection of goodies to choose from. There’s practically something for everyone, may it be a munchie or a drink.
Inside Amor Bakery, be transported into their whole-new dimension with artistically painted cement walls that gives color to the bakery. Quirky furniture in different designs adorn the space, with stacks of books on their bookshelves, perfect for unwinding after a gruesome 3-pager essay. The ceiling, hanged with beautiful chandeliers, will make you feel like you’re just in some friend’s or relative’s home. Indeed, a stay in Amor Bakery is a relaxing retreat in itself.
Amor Bakery also has no wifi, so it’s just a quiet spot to bond with friends or all by yourself.
A haven for all the bookworms out there.
Sample on their delightfully delicious breads and be convinced that Amor Bakery is your next favorite place after school.
This is flaky, but soft on the inside. Not too sweet, and the nuts give that nice crunch to this pastry.
Being a fan of garlic bread, their version did not disappoint. It’s crusty and flavorful. I can eat this for lunch!
I was surprised with the onion bread, though. It’s soft and very tasty, can also be nice for lunch.
This is really filling, with meat and corn and cheese that burst in your mouth. Plus, it’s served hot.
Coffee and a semi-sweet bread for an afternoon snack? It’ll boost your mood and keep your tummy happy.
Or choose to refresh with a fruity drink and the tuna pizza. Can be agreed to share as it’s good for 2-3 persons. 🙂
A student in Manila deserves as much good food as he/she exerts in his/her daily grind in school. So treat yourself and “Sbread Your Love” at Amor Bakery.
