The Filipina beauty queen bested 39 candidates and was crowned Miss Eco International 2025 on April 20 (Philippine time) at the Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza in Egypt.

This victory holds a deeper meaning for Alexie, as she dedicated it to her late grandmother, whom she fondly called Lola Basing. In an interview with the pageant community Missosology, she revealed that her desire to win was inspired by her grandmother.

“I was saying to myself, ‘kahit sino na lang sa amin manalo (whoever wins among us is alright),’ ’cause I know the girl, her advocacy, I know what she’s done. But then in the back of my mind, I wanted to do this for my grandma, she passed away recently and it was her birthday four days ago,” she said.

“So every time kasi na birthday ni lola, tinatanong ko kung ano gusto niya (So every time it’s grandma’s birthday, I ask her what she wants). Whenever I compete, I always bring home the gold, so I thought this time I’ll bring her home the crown and I did bring her home the crown. I was really really happy.”

In a Facebook post, Alexie shared a framed photo of her grandmother, with her crowning moment playing on a television in the background.

“Lola! I made it,” she captioned.

In a separate post, the beauty queen also expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her in the competition.

Alexie also won Best National Costume at this year’s Miss Eco International, where she donned a majestic Mangayon ensemble that pays tribute to the Philippine Eagle.

Congratulations!
