Alanis Morissette is Going on Tour for the 25th Anniversary of “Jagged Little Pill”

Alanis Morissette Jagged Little Pill

’80s and ’90s kids, we have great news for you: Alanis Morissette is going back on tour to celebrate the 25 anniversary of her hit album Jagged Little Pill.

Sadly, the tour only covers North America, but we hope it becomes so successful that it becomes global. We also hope a stop in the Philippines.

The tour will begin on June 2, 2020 and will have stops in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Nashville.

Garbage and Liz Phair are expected to join the singer.

Jagged Little Pill was released in 1995 and is considered as one of the best-selling albums of all time. The album had the hits “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic.” At the 1996 Grammy Awards, Morissette won five out of the nine nominations she received, including Album of the Year. The singer was the youngest musician to be given that award for 10 years.

Coincidentally, this week also marks the premiere of the musical Jagged Little Pill, with music inspired by the album. The story will focus on a “modern and multi-generational family and their complex dynamics, touching on issues of gender identity and race.”

Alanis is set to release a new album in 2020, called Such Pretty Forks in the Road. It will debut on May 1.
