After the meet and greet, a media dinner was held at New World Hotel. The last time they were here, they did a presscon with Alex Good. Here are a few of the questions asked last night.
What was the weirdest gift the band received from a Filipino fan last year?
Dan, Chrissy, and Will said they don’t recall receiving a weird gift from a Filipino fan and that they were all actually pretty nice. However Chrissy said she once received a foot scraper from a fan in a different country.
“I got a foot scraper. I don’t know if they think I have a foot problem or something, but yeah someone gave that to me like ‘I think this will be useful for you on tour.’ And I was like, ‘aww, thank you! Kinda gross but okay!’” *laughs* – Chrissy
Of course, the infamous “Have you eaten Balut?” question!
The band said that they were told about it last year but they never really tried it. Chrissy then stated that she can’t eat food with faces still on them.
“I’ll eat shrimp, but if it’s the shrimp that still has the eyes on it, I can’t do it because it’s too personal.” – Chrissy

What was the difference between performing live and on YouTube?
“YouTube is like a staged video, whereas in live anything can happen.” – Dan
“I prefer playing live because I feel like there’s more emotion in it. When we do a YouTube video we take like 12-16 takes of the same video over and over again so it loses the emotion of the video by the end of it. But when it’s live and you have the crowd interacting with you, it keeps the feel of the song.” – Chrissy
“Yeah, I prefer live because we’re actually playing. A video is more synthetic.” – Will
