After a year long anticipation, Chrissy Costanza, Will Ferri, and Dan Gow are ready to rock Manila once again! Last year they shared the stage with Alex Goot and this year they will be back with their first ever headliner show on September 5, 2015 at Metrotent Convention Center, Pasig. I had the privilege of seeing them last year and without any bias, I can honestly say they were one of the best bands I have seen live. If you had seen them last year, then that shouldn’t stop you from seeing them again this year!
Here are 10 reasons why you should go see Against the Current:
10. Midnight Meetings
No, ATC will not have a midnight meet and greet. We can only wish! lol.
Midnight Meetings is the local neo-soul band who will be opening up the show. They have such a fresh new sound that I’m sure you will all enjoy! Check out their cover of Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud.
Midnight Meetings + Against the Current = double win
9. ATC’s first ever solo world tour
As I said earlier, this is their first ever world tour and their first ever solo show here in Manila. Indulge in them and only them for an entire night. Here they are inviting you all to come!
8. Expect a high energy-filled night
You may need to drink a can of energy drink to keep up with these guys. Their energy on stage is so high that it will linger on with you even after the show.
7. Be graced by the perfection we call Chrissy Costanza
It’s CHRISSY. Need I say more?
6. Rock out to their new album
The last time they were here they had just released their Infinity EP, and now they are coming back to promote their newest Gravity EP. So this only means one thing, more awesome original songs!
Can you guess my favorite part of Gravity? Play the video below!
5. Enjoy covers of today’s most popular songs
Check out their YouTube page for amazing covers of songs from Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, The 1975, 5 Seconds of Summer and more. Ain’t It Fun by Paramore is my personal favorite! What songs do you think they will perform?
