The Bureau of Internal Revenue has announced that Filipinos can now access a digital version of their Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) ID through the eGovPH app.

In a Facebook post, the BIR shared that the feature is part of its ongoing push to make government services more accessible through digital platforms, in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
For those who already have an eGovPH account, the digital TIN ID can be viewed directly through the app. The BIR also provided a step-by-step guide on how to access it:
How to view your digital TIN ID on eGovPH:
- Download the eGovPH app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Create an account and make sure your details are correctly entered.
- Complete identity verification using facial recognition.
- Log in using your registered mobile number or email address, then enter the OTP and your 6-digit MPIN.
- Open the mobile ID wallet and tap the digital ID icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Select and view your BIR digital TIN ID.
According to the BIR, access to the digital TIN ID is available only if the information on your eGovPH profile matches your records and if you already have a registered digital TIN ID in the BIR’s Online Registration and Update System (ORUS).
ORUS, which was launched in 2023, allows users to apply for and manage their TIN online. The system was introduced as part of efforts to simplify registration processes, reduce in-person transactions, and discourage the use of fixers and unauthorized intermediaries.
