Ed Sheeran is back with fresh music—this time with his highly anticipated new album, Play, officially released on September 12, 2025.

To mark the occasion, Sheeran also unveiled the official video for his new single “Camera,” co-starring Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor.
Directed by longtime collaborator Emil Nava, the video captures the thrill of a blossoming romance, shot entirely on iPhone from the characters’ perspectives.
Viewers follow Sheeran and Dynevor as they wander through Croatia’s Old Town, ride a moped, go bar-hopping, and even share the stage at one of Sheeran’s massive stadium shows.
“Camera” was co-produced by ILYA (Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello), Andrew Watt (Post Malone), and Louis Bell (Justin Bieber), and is inspired by Sheeran’s wife, Cherry. The song carries his signature lyrical depth, serving as both a ballad and a heartfelt celebration of love.

Play marks the start of a bold new era for Sheeran, following the conclusion of his Mathematics series. This time, he leans into both the familiar and the unexpected, melding global influences, including Indian and Persian music traditions, with the Irish folk roots of his upbringing.
The result is a borderless sound that feels both refreshing and distinctly Sheeran.
The album blends Sheeran’s pop sensibilities and trademark balladry with new collaborations and sounds, reaffirming why he remains one of the most influential singer-songwriters of his generation.

Fans in Asia are in for a treat with special Ed Sheeran pop-ups happening in Shanghai, Manila, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Powered by Polaroid, these pop-ups feature interactive booths and exclusive merchandise tied to the Play release.
The celebrations kicked off with intimate Spotify listening parties for top fans in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Manila during the album’s launch week.
