On August 21, the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” alums are confirmed to work together in their first movie, a collaboration between Star Cinema, GMA Pictures, and Regal Entertainment.
The upcoming film will be directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar and written by Crystal Hazel San Miguel. However, more details, such as the movie’s storyline, additional cast members, and more, are yet to be announced.
According to the director and writer, “Love You So Bad” is inspired by the iconic romance-drama film “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita,” which featured the late Rico Yan, Claudine Barretto, and Diether Ocampo.
The 1998 movie revolves around Mela (played by Claudine), the notorious “Bad Girl” on campus, who breaks up with her boyfriend Ryan (played by Diether) after discovering his unfaithfulness. However, Mela soon finds herself falling in love with Miguel (played by Rico), a wealthy and intelligent student who is part of the school’s discipline committee.
“It’s not a remake, it’s just inspired by,” the director explained. “Inspired by because the story… is relevant to this day.”
The trio gained strong fan bases during their stint in “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition,” with “WillCa” and “DusBi.”
Prior to entering the PBB house, Bianca and Will worked together on the collaborative project “Unbreak My Heart.” Meanwhile, during her stay inside the iconic PBB house, the “2 Good 2 Be True” actress formed a deep connection with Dustin, making them the final duo—and the last pair to be evicted from the variety competition.
