In an article published by Big 7 Travel, the team featured 50 beach destinations suited for all kinds of travelers—ranging from shallow lagoons in the Maldives to the coral-fringed coastlines of the Caribbean, including the popular Boracay Island in the Philippines.

“Boracay Island in the Philippines is known for its gorgeous beaches, but none are more beautiful than White Beach, which is found on the southwest coast of the island,” the description reads.

“The main characteristic of this beach is the powdery-white sand, which is so easy to walk on, and combined with the classic island backdrop of palm trees and light jungle, there are few beaches that rival White Beach as one of the best in the world,” it added, sharing that Boracay’s sunsets are also some of the best in the country.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Whitehaven Beach bagged the top spot.

Here are the top 10 best beaches in the world:

  1. Whitehaven Beach – Australia
  2. Anse Source d’Argent – Seychelles
  3. Ksamil Beach – Albania
  4. Reethi Beach – Maldives
  5. Plage de Notre Dame – Porquerolles, France
  6. Starfish Beach – Vietnam
  7. Le Morne Beach – Mauritius
  8. White Sand Beach – Thailand
  9. Sandy Lane Beach – Barbados
  10. Boracay Island – Philippines
