Here’s How Ronnie Liang Reacted After Getting Offered to Do an Adult Film

Ronnie Liang has gone viral for his social media rant about being asked to do an adult film, an offer that made him feel “pissed off and disappointed.”

In his posts both on Facebook and Instagram on Thursday, November 10, Ronnie expressed that he has already achieved so many things in his life not only in his showbiz career but also as an Army Reservist Officer and a businessman, and he found it shameful to be “urged” to act in an x-rated project.

“I got pissed off and disappointed. I was offered and urged to do PORN movies… Thanks, but NO thanks po. I did not sacrifice and study hard all these years only to show my private parts in public—Nakakahiya. Without trying to brag, I am already an Army Reservist Officer, a pilot, a Master’s degree holder, a Brand Ambassador of some companies, and other government agencies. Madami pa po ako pwedeng gawin at pag ginawa ko yan madaming mawawala sa akin. (I have so many things I still want to do and if I say yes to this x-rated film, I will lose so much),” he said.

“Most importantly, please understand that I am a Christian and a follower of Christ. Whatever I have achieved and everything I do is for the honor and glory of God. I am not perfect, super rich, or super famous, but to me, fame and money are only temporary. Self-respect and the respect of my colleagues in and out of showbiz are forever more vital to me,” he added.

“Okay lang naman po kung wala akong movie or project. Sa iba nyo na lang po ibigay ang lead role na yan. Hanggang ganito lang po ang pwede ko ipakita (It would have been okay if I didn’t have any movie or project. Please give this lead role to somebody else. This is the extent of what I can show),” he ended his post, referring to the picture he posted of himself topless while swimming in a pool.

Many fans commended Ronnie for standing firm on his values but many others criticized him for his lengthy response that seemingly put down actors and actresses who do adult films as a career.

“You can just decline politely, why the term “nakakahiya”. To some it’s their bread and butter. To most, it’s an art,” wrote one netizen in the comments.
