October 15 will mark the launch of the Mentoring Young Filipino Leaders (MYFL) program, a rigorous eight-week program where a cohort of young Filipinos, selected through a meticulous application process, will train under mentors from different Filipino leaders based all over the world. It is organized by Suyomano, the first and only exclusive online learning platform for Filipino language and culture, together with select Filipino-American leaders and mentors all over the world who want to give back to Filipino people.

Throughout the eight weeks of mentoring, participants will be trained by a pool of Filipino and Filipino-American innovators and trailblazers from all over the world. The training sessions are expected to hone their leadership skills in a multicultural and highly globalized context.

The virtual launch will be streamed live on Suyomano’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Suyomano) and will be graced by Jaime T. Ascolon, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C. as the guest of honor. Two MYFL mentors will be imparting their leadership background during the launch: Chief Master Sargeant Robert Ybay of the United States Air Force and Corinne Romabiles, founder and creative director of digital media studio Idiyanale.
