Designer James “Larnelle” Montealto established Larnelle as a namesake brand in the year 2016. Starting out with creating custom order pieces for his clientele in Manila, Larnelle has well expanded over time. In the year 2019, Larnelle decided to set up his official studio in his hometown, Bacolod City, to establish the brand’s home base and to elevate the fashion industry on the island of Negros.
As a graduate of Fashion Design and Merchandising at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Larnelle gained experience and worked with big names in the industry. He was an intern at Philippine Fashion Week, attended fashion shows and magazine shoots to hone and observe the real deal in fashion.

LARNELLE FASHION SHOW
This year’s Fashion show is entitled “Caña de azúcar” Spanish term of SUGARCANE or also known as TUBO in Hiligaynon dialect, a culmination of inspiration of LARNELLEs’ final show. For our first-ever virtual fashion show, LARNELLE presents to you an iconic display of creativity and talent in “LARNELLE: (Caña de azúcar).” It is a 1-day event that serves as an opportunity for LARNELLE to officially expose his skills in fashion design, styling and fashion show management by way of a runway show.

“LARNELLE: (Caña de azúcar”), which serves as a platform for young aspiring talent in the growing Philippine fashion industry. I have also gathered young and creative suppliers and artists who have been performing well in the local industry. This cumulative effort is to showcase to the Philippine Fashion Industry that there are numerous, talented young locals of Bacolod who are willing to produce a show despite this pandemic.
DATE OF EVENT
The fashion show will be pre-taped at THE RUINS on October 11,2021 (Monday) and will hive it’s virtual show through facebook live on October 22,2021 (Friday) as a finale to the event and will feature works of LARNELLE focused on creative and experimental design.
