Here’s What Julia Barretto Has to Say About Her Bashers

We’re sure you are aware of the whole Julia Barretto – Gerald Anderson – Bea Alonzo drama by now. While we won’t get into details about what happened last year, you might have missed the latest showbiz news: Julia and Gerald have finally admitted that they are in a relationship, and Julia even posted photos of them together. Unfortunately, instead of being happy for the couple, some netizens have been sending hate their way. Judging by the comments, it seems that some netizens still aren’t over the whole Bea issue.

In the latest vlog of photographer BJ Pascual, who took Julia’s stunning birthday photos, Julia speaks up about the bashers.

“The older I’m getting, I’m slowly starting to realize how important it is to compartmentalize what matters and what doesn’t matter. “So sometimes, when it’s the opinion of people who don’t have a significant role in your life, who really don’t matter to you, who you don’t even know; I’m never going to be affected by it. You don’t know me. I don’t know you. We can’t judge each other, right? It’s just not possible.” she says, pointing out that the opinions of family and people who are close to her and those who really know her are much more important.

Having been in showbiz for so long, Julia shares something else she has learned: “Whether you do something good or bad, people will always have something to say, so keep going. Keep doing you.” This serves as great advice for anyone who has bashers and haters in their lives, don’t you think? BJ points out how social media has amplified this because people are able to hide behind usernames. He then recommends the book ‘The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck’, sharing that he listened to it as an audiobook before going to bed.

Another great piece of advice from Julia? Choose your battles wisely. Julia says that she doesn’t really stoop to the level of bashers; but if someone crosses the line, she responds as nicely as possible. “I won’t pay back bad for bad,” she stresses.”I believe in paying back good sa bad. Fight a good fight of faith, as the Bible says.”
