We have a year and a bit left until the next presidential elections in the Philippines and Pulse Asia has recently released its Nationwide Survey on the May 2022 Presidential Elections. The survey was conducted from November 23 to December 2, 2020, and results show that 26% of the Filipinos surveyed would support a possible presidential bid by President Rodrigo Duterte’s daughter, Sara Duterte.
Other possible candidates that Filipinos would support include former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Senator Grace Poe (both with 14%), Manila Mayor Isko Moreno (with 12%), and Senator Manny Pacquiao (with 10%).
For Vice President, Isko Moreno leads the survey with 17% followed by Sara Duterte with 16%, Senate President Tito Sotto with 14%, and Bongbong Marcos and Manny Pacquiao with 11% each.
4% of the Filipinos surveyed also said that they hadn’t decided, refused to answer, or would not vote at all in the 2022 elections.
