Here’s Where to Order Wagyu Steak Bowls

Gone are the days when we have to go out to get five-star dishes. Since we are all staying at home, many of us helped small businesses to flourish and for new food concepts to come to life- just by satisfying our cravings for something new every day.

One brand that started during quarantine is Ginza Gyu, a food brand that wanted to bring Japan quality Beef Bowls to Manila. Spearheaded by the Raspberry group, they have partnered with Hapag’s Chef Kevin Villarica to make sure that they make beef bowls that taste like the ones in Japan.

Despite being born in the middle of the pandemic, the founders saw this as an opportunity to satisfy cravings for really good beef bowls without traveling to Japan. “We had no choice. Of course, we couldn’t go back to Japan because of the lockdowns, and there was nowhere to get premium beef bowls here. So we made them ourselves”, the group shared.

Ginza Gyu offers three cuts of Wagyu: sirloin (Australia), oyster blade (Kitayama, Philippines), and ground chuck burgers (US) as well as choice tenderloin and braised or grilled thin-
sliced U.S. beef.

We personally loved the Wagyu Gyudon which is made with Grade 6 Kitayama Wagyu, signature gyudon sauce, shiitake mushrooms, ajitsuke tamago, house-made gari, and of course, with wagyu steak sasanishiki chahan,

Another crowd favorite (and best-seller) is the Wagyu Steak bowl which is Japanese wagyu sirloin with house-made gari, wasabi salt, and wagyu steak sasanishiki chahan. Cooked medium-rare, the wagyu steak bowl is perfectly tender and seasoned lightly to really focus on the quality of the beef.

Aside from their signature beef bowls, they also offer braised pork Kurobotadon, 8-Hour Kurobata Chashu, black tiger prawns Ebi Katsu, and Grilled Salmon fillet.

All the beef bowls come with Ajitsuke and Nori Tamago, Soy and Dashi Mirin Glaze, house-made Gari, Shiitake mushrooms, wasabi salt, and Sasanishiki Gohan or Chahan. If that’s not enough, they are also offering the ‘Ginza Gyu Gang ‘which are food trays that are good for 3-4pax.

You can order directly from the store or via their hotline and Instagram. They will soon be available on FoodPanda, GrabFood, and LalaFood.
