WATCH: Ballerinas from around the world dance together for COVID-19 relief

These 32 ballerinas from 14 different countries virtually danced together in a video to raise funds for COVID-19 relief. The beautiful video showed the ballerinas dance gracefully in various places around the world to Le Cygne (The Swan).

This video was organized by Misty Copeland and Joseph Phillips in support of Swans for Relief. According to the video’s YouTube description, “100% of the funds raised will be distributed to each dancer’s company’s COVID-19 relief fund, or other arts/dance-based relief fund in the event that a company is not set up to receive donations.”

The video featured ballerinas from countries like China, Russia, Europe, Cuba, Mexico, South Africa, Canada, and the United States. The Philippines’ very own Denise Parungao was also featured in the video.

In a video posted on Twitter, Copeland said, “Everyone who worked on this project feels extremely honored and privileged to share this piece of our art with you.”
