The movie picks up one year after the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Kylo Ren and Rey are preparing to face off in their final battle against one another, as other members of the Resistance, including Poe Dameron, Finn, and BB-8 fight for the universe’s future.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will also see the return of more classic characters such as Ian McDiarmid’s Palpatine and Billy Dee Williams’ Lando Calrissian.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens in theaters on December 20.
