Star Cinema’s OFW drama Hello, Love, Goodbye has only been in the cinemas for a little over a week but it’s already captured the hearts of audiences. They love it so much that they’re already clamoring for a sequel, excitedly anticipating what happens next in the lives of the movie’s main characters, Joy and Ethan. And it looks like the movie’s leading man, Alden Richards, readily agrees with them.

Alden shared with reporters that he would definitely want a sequel for the movie, saying “Gusto ko siyempre. Sana. Ako siguro, bias ako kasi sobra akong na-in love sa pelikula… Siguro doon sa pelikula naman ay naging masaya naman sila sa choices nila pero mas gusto ko silang mas masaya pa.” [Of course I would want one. Hopefully. For me, I am probably biased because I really fell in love with the movie… We can probably say that the characters in the movie are happy with the choices they made but I would want them to be even happier.]

He also talked about his experience working with co-star Kathryn Bernardo, and how grateful he is to the public for wholeheartedly recieving them. For Alden, “It goes to show na hindi kailangan na nasa isang tunay na relationship ang magka-love team para mag-work sila onscreen. It’s really you have to trust the material, deliver it very well, tapos pagkatiwalaan mo lang ang co-actor mo. Siguro that’s what happened with Kath and I, we just trust each other. Sabi nga nila parang ang tagal na naming magkakilala pero that’s our first project together. Ganun talaga kapag generous ‘yung co-actor at generous ka rin, the relationship will just grow. Parang magiging effortless ‘yung chemistry nung team up.”

[It goes to show that you do not have to be in a real relationship for a love team to work on-screen. It’s really you have to trust the material, deliver it very well, and you have to trust your co-actor too. That’s probably what happened with Kath and I, we just trust each other. Like they said, it’s as if we’ve known each other for such a long amount of time but that’s our first project together. That’s really how it is when your co-actor is generous and you are also generous, the relationship will just grow. It’s as if the chemistry becomes effortless.]
