Here’s how you can catch Captain Marvel this weekend AND donate to a good cause

It’s finally here. After months of speculation and theorizing how this could tie into Avengers: Endgame, Marvel’s first female-centered feature is going to be in cinemas. Like with any MCU movie, you can expect Captain Marvel to be packing cinemas and lengthening the lines at the ticket booth. So if you have your heart set on catching the movie this weekend, I suggest you plan ahead and reserve your tickets.

(What Makes Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel So Great?)

One way you can do that is through the Espinosa family’s block screening of Captain Marvel. This screening is a fundraiser for Mrs. Emy Espinosa who was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). HLH is a rare blood disorder where the white cells become ‘overactive’ and affect several organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, and lungs. She has had to go through chemotherapy, dialysis, weekly blood transfusions, and has been in the ICU since the start of December.

As such, their hospital bill has reached nearly Php5M and is still expected to go up. Mrs. Espinosa’s daily expenses range from P75k-P100k per day, and all those fees are still exclusive of doctors’ and miscellaneous fees. Their family has already exhausted their retirement savings and badly needs help.

You can help them out by buying a ticket (or two) for their benefit screening. The special block screening will be on March 09, 2019, 7 PM at Cinema 2, Uptown Mall, BGC, Taguig City. Tickets are at P700 each with free popcorn.
