One of the best buffets in the metro, Hyatt City of Dreams’ The Café, celebrated a grand Cantonese Food Festival last June. Missed it? Here are some photos:
With deep roots in the Guangdong province of China, Cantonese cuisine embodies fresh and well-balanced flavors, without a greasy aftertaste.
Joining the feast are chefs Xi Qing Hui and Zhao Pan Fei to guarantee the authenticity of guests’ experience of Cantonese cuisine.
Go through their noodle station and have the Chinese chefs prepare hot dishes to your liking – where you get to customize your levels of spiciness with fresh cut chili peppers.
Apart from The Café’s usual selection of scrumptious tapas, sushi, carvings and comfort food, the food festival incorporates hearty Cantonese fare.
 Â
While traversing the rest of the spreads, check out the following favorites at the Cantonese station: Steamed Prawns in Vermicelli in Premium Soy Sauce, Simmered Bok Choy with Bamboo Piths and Pork Balls, Double Boiled Consommé with Egg White and American Ginseng, Cuapao with Pork Barbecue, Deep Fried Snapper with XO Sauce, Crispy Crab Claw with Asian Cream Sauce, along with the quintessential Buchi, and, wok-fried and steamed dishes.
Â
To cap off your multiple meals, The Café has a gorgeous selection of home-made chocolates including iconic fondue fountains. In-house desserts like miniature cakes, flans, churros and even taho, line tables and display cases for your tasting pleasure.
Craving more? Watch out for their next Asian flare, this time focusing on the aromatic fare of India this July 17!
