Kasalan at Kotilyon 2018’s third leg took place from June 1 to 3, 2018 at the Ayala Malls Feliz, a mall strategically located near Marikina City and Cainta, Rizal. The very first wedding and debut expo in the area gathered wedding and debut suppliers from Rizal and nearby locations, providing a weekend packed with creativity and passion.
In case you missed it, here are the things we really liked about the event:
8 Things We Loved about Kasalan at Kotilyon 2018
Involvement of the Local Community
What sets this bridal and debut fair apart from the rest is that it tried to involve the local community as much as it could. Apart from encouraging suppliers nearby to participate in the event, it also involved local government units from neighboring cities and municipalities.

In fact, present during the ribbon cutting ceremony of the event were some officials from the Antipolo City Government, including Mr. Marino Bacani, Officer in Charge of the Antipolo City Tourism Office, and representatives from the Antipolo Civil Registry Office. Antipolo City Councilor Paui Tapales was also among the special guests at the event’s opening program, during which he gave a short speech to show support to Kasalan at Kotilyon 2018. He also emphasized Antipolo City’s goal to establish itself as a popular wedding destination in the country.
Superb Lineup of Antipolo Venues
To help establish Rizal as a popular wedding destination, the event gathered many of the popular venues in Antipolo like Garden Hive Events Place, Seven Suites Hotel Observatory, Antipolo Valley Event Center, Gems Hotel and Conference Center, L Orchard Garden Venue, Loreland Farm Resort, as well as other hidden garden gems from Rizal like Estancia de Lorenzo in San Mateo and Pranjetto Hills Resort and Convention Center in Tanay.

Creative Booths and Displays
One thing to really look forward to when attending a wedding and debut fair is the presence of creative booths and displays by talented event suppliers. Couples, debutants, and mall goers had fun taking pictures with the pretty setup of Party Out Loud, the event’s official stylist.

The clean, elegant styling of Estancia de Lorenzo, on the other hand, captured the hearts of the event presenters and earned them the event’s Most Creative Booth Award.

Couples could not help but be drawn to the rustic setup of Garden Hive Events Place and Sweet Onion Catering, the cute display of Donut Wall by Hazel, and the romantic love seat of Novotel Manila.

Fresh Wedding and Debut Ideas
Another thing we liked about this event was the abundance of fresh concepts presented by exhibitors. Indeed, they were able to prove that there were lots of unique ways to make celebrations stand out.
Deli platter (Photo from Blighty)
One great example was Blighty. It was there to promote its deli platters, which totally makes for great additions to any type of celebration. Imagine platters of cheeses, breads, fruits, and nuts paired with wines being served before the actual dinner at your wedding or 18th birthday celebration.
Photo printing kiosk
There was also another spin to the usual photo booth from Phone2Prints, in this case, wedding guests can have the freedom and creativity to print their wedding photos right from their own mobile phones! Another guest exhibitor, Insign, showcased customized canvas print and acrylic wedding invites while Drivee Pinas offered Jeeps as cool bridal cars.
Exciting Promos and Discounts
Of course, debut and wedding fairs would not be complete without freebies, promos, and discounts. These are, after all, among the things lots of couples and debutants are excited for in such events. Novotel Manila Araneta Center, for one, offered free accommodation and more freebies to every couple booking their wedding in the duration of the three-day fair.

Meanwhile, Hair and Makeup by Nica Dilao’s special event-priced Airbrush makeup package attracted so many brides-to-be that she ended up bagging the event’s Top Booker Award.
Free Food Tasting
To help couples and debutants decide on what particular food to serve at their celebrations, caterers and restaurants also held FREE and sumptuous food tasting sessions during the event. These included Sweet Onion Catering, Cravings, and Cusina Estela by Cabalen.

Amazing Shows and Performances
Kasalang at Kotilyon 2018 was also packed with amazing shows and performances. Apart from several musical numbers, there was a fashion show featuring the debutant creations of Lorren Bridal Couture and the beautiful bridal collection of Mara Dizon. Edz Diomampo of D Lady Behind the Scene sponsored the hair and makeup, talents, and direction, while Sensitivity Lights and Sounds took care of the lighting and special effects.

The event’s sweet and fitting finale was a grand raffle draw of a Php150,000-worth of Antipolo event package from Garden Hive Events Place and Sweet Onion Catering. The lucky winner was Ms. Jocelyn M. Jongco, who went all the way from Taguig just to book all her daughter’s debut needs at Kasalan at Kotilyon. Other prizes like beauty packages, wedding cake, and prenup pictorial packages were also awarded to lucky couple and attendees.
