The beauty of the Philippines’ never ceases to amaze me and I feel truly blessed to be born here. In all my travels so far, Palawan is one of my most favorite places for its majestic 250 Million year old limestones, crystal clear waters and enchanting deep sea wonders. Whenever people ask me on where to go, I always mention Palawan of course.
Last March, we were fortunate to be given the opportunity to visit and experience HUMA Island Resort in Busuanga, the northernmost part of Palawan. HUMA Island is also known locally as the “Maldives of the Philippines” because of its floating luxury villas surrounding the island.
As I write this piece, I couldn’t help but reminisce on everything that took place during our stay. Until now, I still couldn’t believe that I’ve been there because it all seemed like a dream. A dream that I wish would last forever. =)
HUMA Island I definitely a place that should be added to every person’s bucket list for it provides guests with a dream vacation experience filled with memories to last a lifetime.
There are soooo many great things to rave about HUMA Island but for this feature, I’ve decided to highlight the ones which I think were really outstanding which sets them apart from the rest.
5. They have their own seaplane that will directly fly you to the island
It was here at HUMA Island where I never encountered any airport hassles ‘coz going here doesn’t require you to even go the airport. With Huma Island, vacation starts as soon as you hop on their very own seaplane and take you onto a 45-minute ride and land you right in front of Huma! Absolutely No airport check-ins and no stressful land/sea transfers!
4. They have a lot of dining outlets to satisfy all known cravings
Unlike most resorts that have only 1 or 2 dining venues, at Huma Island, they got over 6!
From exceptional Lebanese cuisine catered at Al Fairuz restaurant, to modern Italian specialties at Al Dente, On The Harbour serving impeccably fresh seafood from the grill, Rudi’s cheese & wine bar, to sipping cocktails with a spectacular view at Blu Bar, while all-day dining at Waves restaurant serves fresh international fare. Aside from these gastronomic destinations, I even heard they will be constructing 2 more outlets soon!
3. Everywhere you look is “Instagramable”
The whole island is insanely stunning! Everywhere you turn, every angle “instagramable.” A selfie addict’s paradise! Paradise indeed!
2. They give the BEST spa massages
With the countless massages I’ve experienced, the one we had at Huma was the BEST so far! No Kidding! I didn’t expect it as well! Seeing photos of their massage rooms with transparent floors did excite me to go there, but during the actual experience, I didn’t get to enjoy the transparent floor sea view because my therapist’s delicate touches were so relaxing that I immediately fell asleep! Hands down! Truly something I would love to experience again!
1. They have more than 1 sunset spot
Say goodbye to seeing the same sunsets every day. Here at Huma Island, you can even pick the spot where you want to witness the “magic hour.” A great place to have romantic sunset moments with your significant other. As as photography enthusiast, I believe this is also a paradise for shutterbugs. Our favorite spots would be the one at the Al Dente Italian Resto and by the beach of course. =)
Going to Huma Island is truly and a dream vacation that came true for us. Spending a vacation here may be pricey, but I guarantee it’s all worth every hard earned peso! A vacation worth saving for and a must go-to-place for every life lovin’ epicure!
