When I was about to take the challenge of being vegetarian for a week, I thought “OMG! How will I survive without meat?” Clearly, having a well-pronounced carnivore gene springing from my O+ blood type was a problem. However, after making the best decision of getting my virginal experience with diet delivery food from CHEFitness’ standard meal package, I already made the initial steps towards shifting to a healthier lifestyle – and it was time to take it up a notch and go green.
Â
I would like to assume that many meat-eaters share my way of thinking when dealing with vegetarian choices. We’re stuck with the image of Caesar, Kani, Greek, and whatever else that has the word salad attached to it. To us, that defines vegetarian. But, most of us aren’t aware that plenty of delicious dishes can be made without meat and are as equally satisfying, which is what I was able to prove with CHEFitness’ vegetarian package.

5. Fresh Greens
What are the essential component in a vegetarian diet? Vegetables, of course. I don’t know how they do it but even at the end of the day -– and after forgetting to refrigerate my meals, the greens remain fresh and crisp. They are perfectly palatable and are of high standard. It’s as if you had just opened a bag of sealed veggies from the grocery store.Â

4. Carnivore-Friendly Meals
Let’s erase the garden image of vegetarian food for a moment. CHEFitness’ dishes appeal to even the most vegetable-repelling people. They look absolutely tasteful and can make you forget about it being healthy altogether. I never would’ve guessed that some of the meals were vegetarian at first glance. They prepared them in a way that they’d resemble your usual favorites at your local go-tos – but with a twist!

3. Inventive Dishes
Preparing one dish is tough enough. Creating a menu for an entire week is even more exhausting and I can’t imagine the stress that comes with it. However, it also involves plenty of fun and challenges, and that is where Chef Liza’s ingenuity comes to play. Creating a vegetarian menu requires creativity and innovation, which are clearly reflected on her menu. I never imagined having vegetables for breakfast, but there was a day when I received a vegetable wrapped tortilla, and that put me off for a moment. After my first bite, though, everything else fell into place in my tummy.Â

2. Protein-Packed
You don’t need 500 grams of steak to satisfy your daily protein intake. Ignore your carnivorous instincts for a bit and know that going meatless doesn’t necessarily mean eliminating protein from your diet. Chef Liza’s knowledge of food spans way beyond the kitchen. Being a fitness enthusiast herself, she makes sure your body gets all the essential vitamins and nutrients without the uneccessary evil that comes from our more favored selections. Her menu includes all the necessary protein you need in the form of beans, seeds, eggs, veggie burgers, nuts, and more. You won’t miss out!

1. Â Made with Love
You can tell that everything was made with the labor of love. Chef Liza single-handedly prepares everything herself. From the delectable cooking, to the extensive wrapping of each meal, everything exudes TLC – something like that of a packed lunch a mother prepares for her kid’s first day of school!

As expected, I still had a generous amount of salad servings, but I was introduced to a variety of new and exciting food that I definitely loved. Â She made me a firm believer of the plant-based diet and inspired me to make cleaner choices. Though I didn’t feel as stuffed, I would still recommend it to those who want to make the shift. If you’re used to a heavy diet, be mindful that it is a drastic change, though; being vegetarian doesn’t happen overnight. It’s perfect for those who are in the transition phase or are already there. Â Choosing CHEFitness is a great way to kick-start your vegetarian diet. By reading this article, I believe that you have already made a crucial step in living a healthier and more compassionate life. Â Â
