5 Quotes From Experts That Will Prove Passion Is Important In Business

People say having a business is your gateway to financial freedom – yes if it flourishes. Otherwise, you need to reassess everything. Having a business is not a walk in the park. It requires knowledge, patience, and passion.

This is psychologically and scientifically proven, that if you love what you do, your best comes out naturally. But, at the end of the day, reality bites. Everyone’s got to make a living. However, as affirmed by Steven Kotler, author of The Rise of Superman, whilst it is important to make money, it is highly encouraged to apply the flow principle, “to bring out the best and happiness for you AND your business.”

Between you and I, I’d like to believe that your ultimate reason for putting up a business is because of your passion– and eventually – become rich and famous.

Passion is important in flourishing a business. It motivates you to do better things and at the same time, it boosts your self-esteem. Logically speaking, when a person doesn’t love what he’s doing, things will quickly fall apart.

Allow me to share with you five of my favorite quotes that show passion is important in business.

1. It motivates you to do better

“A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.” –Ayn Rand

As a Creative Entrepreneur, two things matter to us: the ROI or the Return Of Investment and the Sustainability principle. Now, to pursue these two, you need to be creative. You need motivation. And apart from money, another positive way to do better is your passion.

2. Eventually, you will earn more.

“Money won’t create success, the freedom to make it, will.” – Nelson Mandela

As an entrepreneur, following my passion goes hand in hand with my goal of earning more. I mean what’s the sense of me working hard for my company if I am not generating any income. Obviously, this applies to everyone. If you are happy – you produce positivity. Having said that, it enables you to perform well and develop income-generating ideas.

3. You develop win-win relationships.

“I like to think of sales as the ability to gracefully persuade, not manipulate, a person or persons into a win-win situation.” – Bo Bennett

According to the article shared by Psychcentral.com, when a couple begins to have kids, the relationship or their lives, in particular, change drastically. One of the major downfalls is their responsibility at home and office. However, if you are passionate at work, you basically, don’t suffer from slavery (problems).

It was mentioned in one of John Maxwell’s books, Winning With People, that the joy of being together is enough – this applies to both personal and business life. It is pretty obvious that when you are burning with passion, you:

  • Don’t feel tired at work
  • Don’t find developing your business hard
  • Mood swings are out the window
  • You feel valued, so you value the people around you, too.

With that said, if you are happy with the outcome, everyone around you is happy.

4. Your Health is definitely better – It helps you find your inner peace

“Health is wealth,” – a quote always used as an example but hardly practiced.

A study shows 3 out of 4 Doctor visits are all stress-triggered diseases like heart attacks, stroke, hypertension-related diseases, etc. Thus, people’s lifespan is becoming shorter every year. Therefore, take care of your health by aiming a healthy and active lifestyle. De-stress if you can. Remember, if you are relaxed and love everything around you, you produce happy hormones, which are essential to your immune system. You are healthier and bolder when you love what you’re doing.

5.  You have the ability to help people learn

“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of doing.” – Goethe

How you run the business is the reflection of yourself and how you determine your future. Therefore, doing what you love in business is important – it develops your resilience and ability to help other people.

On a personal note, had I stopped pursuing my passion in writing, I wouldn’t be able to travel with my family WHILST I’m working. Because it was Confucius who said:
