4 Sensational Selections From Persia Grill – Satisfy Your Cravings for Persian Food Stat!
When in Manila, we often look for the best restaurants that offer both local food and cuisine that can take us to different places around the world. Though some restaurants are already too commercial, there are still some restaurants that offer true authenticity to the cuisine that they offer. If you are craving for flavourful Persian food that your tastebuds won’t be able to get enough of, though, you can rest easy knowing that Persia Grill will be able to satisfy all of your cravings.
We went to visit their Kapitolyo branch and it was one heck of an awesome dining experience! To help you make your own decisions when you get there, here are the 4 must-try selections that Persia Grill really boasts of:
4 Sensational Selections From Persia Grill
1. Chelo Kebab Kubideh
The classic all-beef kebab with a distinct potent flavor locked in it. A trip to Persia Grill would definitely feel incomplete without a kebab. It comes with the classic yogurt dip on the side, too. And there’s more, you won’t be dipping those juicy pieces of meat in your regular garlic sauce.
The Burani sauce is made with fresh tomatoes from your plate and can be made right in front of you! How cool is that? Seeing those ingredients getting combined before your eyes can assure you of the freshness of the food that you put into your tummy.
2. Chicken Biryani
It seems to be just a pile of rice at first, but inside lies a hidden treasure: a huge portion of a chicken just waiting to be eaten by you. Mix it together on your own and then kaboom goes that meal with ingredients that do a great job complimenting each other. It also has a zesty salad on the side, kicking your tastebuds with an all-powerful flavor. This combo is divine! Definitely a must-try!
3. Vegetarian Dolmeh Felafel
I am not the biggest fan of veggies, but this is really something. With all of its tasty flavor, it didn’t feel vegetarian at all. We usually eat pepper rice, but this one is like BELL PEPPER rice. The rice seasoned with loads of spices is stuffed inside bell pepper. With the pita bread on the side, you can enjoy it burrito style, too. I’m a sucker for unli-garlic sauce offered on tables so this totally hit the spot. You can drizzle away with all of the garlic sauce that you want, as well!
4. Chelo Kebab Tikka or Morg
Chicken version of the awesome Chelo Kebab Kubideh. You can also go for the combination like we did to get a taste of both variants. This one fits those with a more conservative set of tastebuds. A safe choice because anybody would find these chicken kebabs delectable. Totally loved them!
They all come with long grain rice topped with flavorful butter melting, as well, along with Persian food’s signature spices. The appetizer is also for the win! They serve pita with four kinds of dips: Oliveyeh, Hummus, Baba Gnoush, and Must O’ Khiar. If you still can’t decide, you can always opt for Peshgaza, a platter with all four.
My favorite is the Salad Oliveyeh dip, the one made of potatoes and chicken, but the others are also worth trying. It’s always refreshingly great to get a taste of these unusual types of food, so not trying them out would be such a waste.
Did I mention the really good yogurt drinks that they have to offer? You can choose different flavours, but the Plain Yogurt Drink really got me. I would go back just for that drink!
Add the good interiors, cozy ambiance, and music to match the sensational food that they offer, and you are sure to love everything about Persia Grill! 🙂
Aside from that, you can be sure that it is 100% authentic because it is owned by half-Iranian Kian Kazemi, who also happens to be a former PBB housemate!
You can be assured of good food because of the recipes handed down from his grandmother’s kitchen back in Iran. There you go! Persian food? Go straight to Persia Grill and try these out!
