5. Ditch your car whenever possible.
Cars eliminate so many carbon dioxide emissions, so ditching yours whenever possible will actually do the environment a lot of good. This may not sound nice at the moment, especially because of the heat, but walk, bike or take public transportation whenever possible to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
4. Carpool.
If those options don’t sound good to you, why not carpool with your friends or colleagues who live nearby and are going in the same direction as you? You can take turns bringing your cars instead of all bringing one and reduce your carbon dioxide emissions by a lot.
3. Have meetings online.
How many times have you gone somewhere just to have a meeting with someone that only lasted 15 minutes or so? Not only is that a waste of time, but it’s also a waste of effort, energy and gas. Save yourselves the trouble by having your meetings online through Skype.
2. Spread the word.
If you have a good following online, why not put it to good use and spread the word about the importance of following these simple steps on a daily basis? In fact, even if you don’t feel deeply for the environment, spreading the word about a cause that is important to you could do wonders in helping that particular cause.
1. Keep doing everything on this list.
Be responsible and do your part everyday, even if it’s just telling people in your household to unplug their appliances and devices. That, in itself, will already help the planet, even if in just a little way.
Got any more things to add to this list? 🙂
