The cafe specialty and must have is our The Chocolate Chamber drinks. They’re made from Philippine cacao farmed and produced in Cebu, and comes in more than 10 flavors.

Cool Beans Library Cafe is known for its specialty Philippine Highland Coffee. Scott Lleva (co-owner/business partner) was born and raised in Baguio City. He woke up to the smell of roasting coffee in the mornings, his grandparents being avid coffee-drinkers. Cool Beans Library Cafe proudly serves three varieties of Cordilleran coffee: the Sagada, Benguet, and Kalinga roasts (P80 brewed). All these can be used as a base for our drinks such as a Kalinga Latte (P100), Iced Benguet Mocha (P100), Sagada Cappuccino Frost-Blend (P130), etc. Our panini sandwiches are also a must-try! We believe we’ve been serving the best paninis in Maginhawa Street because we bake our own ciabatta bread. They come in half & whole sizes, are very filling yet easy on the pocket. Our specialty is the Chicken Pesto (P80 half/P150 whole) and Tuna Melt varieties (P70 half/P130 whole), our Eggplant Parmigiana – made with homemade foccacia as well (P130). Aside from these, we have pasta (P160 all choices), rice meals (all under P170), and all-day breakfasts (all P140 and below)… all very affordable and come in hefty servings!

We do not have WiFi because we encourage our customers to value their time to read good books and “unplug” once in a while. We are happy that parents bring their children to spend quality time with them without their gadgets; we smile when we see couples reading books together; we are delighted when friends catch-up in real life instead of online; we are inspired when students focus on schoolwork rather than social media.

Being the first “Library Cafe” in Metro Manila, we do our best to maintain a Library atmosphere. We have signs around the cafe requesting silence from our customers, especially during quiet study mornings and afternoons. Our coffee is guaranteed to keep you focused (people swear by the Sagada roast), our food choices can get you through hours of study, we have no WiFi (meaning no unnecessary distractions), and our books serve as reference material or much-needed leisure breaks!

Why is Third Cup Cafe a good place to study and work?
We’re very near some of the major schools (Ateneo, UP, Miriam). We’re open ’til late, perfect for late night cramming sessions. And, the coffee, of course, will help you stay awake! It’s quiet enough to study on your own, but also in groups. We have a nice selection of songs to keep you going, and a variety of food & drinks. Our prices are relatively low, compared to other cafes/coffee shops; perfect for students on a budget. We serve delicious meals, besides coffee & drinks, for instances when study sessions hit lunch/dinner time. And desserts as well for when you want to reward yourself after a productive work session.
