10 Places to Visit in a UP Diliman Food Trip
7.)
Art Circle Gallery Cafe in Bahay ng Alumni
Like the two other restaurants inside Bahay ng Alumni, dining here is a bit pricier than other spots in the list. But it’s also a lot more comfortable especially during hot days. The whole place is air-conditioned. The restaurant is quiet and cozy. From its name alone, one could expect an ambiance that is both creative and relaxing, and The Art Circle Gallery Cafe does not disappoint.
So far, the Spicy Pasta Negra is my favorite. The squid and the spaghetti are the perfect kind of chewy, and the sauce is bursting with flavor–especially once the lemon is added.

Area 2
Area 2 is the most interesting to write about; it seems to deserve a separate article. The whole road is a stretch of kiosks and garages-turned-restaurants where you could get siomai, shawarma, fruit shakes, coffee shakes, bulalo, milk tea, bagnet, and many more. Some are classics, and some are promising new food concepts. It’s continuously evolving, so I spot something new almost everytime I visit. These are some of my favorites:
Endless Summer has a variety of delicious shakes in their menu. The best part is you could customize them and invent your own recipe on the spot. I usually get the one with bananas and nutella, but all my friends have their own favorites.Â
McDok’s serves happiness on a sizzling plate. The sizzling sisig and the  roast beef with a generous serving of gravy are some of the dishes my friends and I always order.
5.)Â
Restaurant of Choice (R.O.C) in Bahay ng Alumni
R.O.C lives up to its name by offering a great selection of pizza, pasta, rice dishes, desserts, and drinks. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the ambiance is conducive for meetings and individual study sessions.
My friends and I tried their panizza, which is very affordable considering it’s good for sharing.
After years of being a loyal customer, my favorite is still the Marsala Chops. The superstar in this dish is not just the porkchop, but the generous helping of creamy sauce all over it. Other recommendable favorites include their iced mocha, garlic chicken, and pesto cream.
 4.)Â
The Chocolate Kiss Cafe in Bahay ng Alumni
The Chocolate Kiss Cafe first opened in January 1997. 18 years later, the Chocolate Kiss sits up to 140 people daily–but there are days when these aren’t enough to accommodate all the people who want to enjoy their food.Â
Apart from the dishes in the photos, you could also try their cakes and beverages. They serve unlimited brewed iced tea, and iced cappuccino–both worth their prices.Â
