When In Manila, there’s nothing better than spending some good quality time with family!
Unfortunately, with the horrible economy, lack of jobs and the terrible pay when you do find a job, it’s virtually impossible to live a “normal” life here and raise a family for many Filipinos.
Thus, a new class of Overseas Foreign Workers, or OFWs, sacrifice their lives and time to work in a different country, often times doing labor intensive jobs, and sending all their money home back to the Philippines.
There are OFWs who have been away from their families for years! Unable to save up enough money to come back for a vacation as they scrape for every penny that they can to send back home.
So I have to give it up to Coca Cola Philippines. A slow clap goes out their way as they put together this campaign to bring home a few families who have not seen their loved ones in years!
