Pinay Singer Fights Back For A Seat At X Factor UK

Filipina singer Alisah Bonaobra brought the house down at London’s Wembley Arena as she was given a second chance to compete in the final auditions of the X Factor UK!

The crowd, which composed of about 4,000 people, chanted “bring her back” after the 22-year-old was initially eliminated from the competition, until she was given another chance to sing.

Alisah initially gave a powerful rendition of Celine Dion’s “All By Myself” during the Six Chair Challenge, the final round of the auditions where successful talents will progress to the Judges’ Houses afterward.

This season’s X Factor UK judges include Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.

Sharon, mentor to the girls category, told Alisah, who performed in a glittering red gown: “Alisah, you look beautiful tonight. You really do. Good luck.”

After her Celine Dion number, Sharon said that Alisah’s voice was a “gift” but found her performance “dated” and too “cabaret”, eliminating her in favor of Scarlett Lee and Rai-elle Williams.

The crowd, however, protested over the decision, prompting Sharon to bring Alisah back to the stage along with the two other girls. In the end, Alisah rapped her way to the seat with an impromptu performance of Jessie J’s “Bang Bang” that got even Nicole Scherzinger standing on the table!
