Cyma Greek Taverna: A Little Piece of “Greece” in Manila

When In Manila, you don’t need to travel to the Mediterranean to have a taste of their uniquely Mediterranean cuisines anymore. If you’re looking for a delicious and healthy meal that’s authentically Greek to enjoy with friends or family for a fairly cheap price, then Cyma: Greek Taverna might just be the place for you!

Me and my family (we’re a family of five) passed by Cyma Greek Taverna while exploring Eastwood Mall in Libis when we decided to have our super late lunch/ early dinner there: The ambiance of the place was great with glass windows inviting in natural light. It may get a little dark when it’s cloudy outside, though.

Their menu has a good selection of food to choose from; varieties of meat, vegetables, and seafood will surely be something meat and veggie lovers would enjoy. you can start off your with a dish of their Roka Salata salad and if you want some seafood for your main course, you can try out their Seafood Macoranada.

They also serve lamb, which is their specialty, but the lamb supply might be a little short. We ate there on a Sunday at around 5:30 in the afternoon and we were lucky to get the last available serving of lamb chops.

As for food servings, they come in three portions: solo, to share, and family. A single solo serving is big enough for two people. so it’s not advisable to eat there alone (well, the more the merrier anyway, right?)

Price? Fairly cheap (compared to other restaurants) for fine dining. We spent a total of 3,142 pesos for main courses and appetisers fit for five (possibly even more). Meal prices range from 300 to 1,500 pesos depending on the portion size.

Overall, Cyma Greek Taverna definitely delivers a little bit of that “Greek” feel and is a good place to have a healthy and hearty meal with friends and family without having to spend too much. Eating here definitely won’t disappoint you!
