Grant Thompson, a Youtuber best known for his channel ‘The King of Random’, recently died in an accident.
His family posted the announcement on his various social media accounts while his brother confirmed the news to TMZ. He was only 38 years old.
The statement on his social media accounts announced that “it is with great sadness to inform everyone that Grant Thompson passed away last night.” It urged fans to “do a random act of love or kindness today in honor of The King of Random.”

He reportedly died due to a paragliding accident, which was an activity he may have been filming for his channel as video equipment was found by his body. A missing persons report was filed in Hurricane, Utah when he did not return from paragliding in Honeymoon Trail. Authorities were able to track a GPS device Thompson had on himself and recovered his body and equipment.
Thompson’s King of Random channel had amassed over 11 million subscribers and more than 2.4 billion views. He will be remembered by the legacy his channel leaves behind.
