Fans of the Fifty Shades series will be delighted to hear that the sequel Fifty Shades Darker will be having its adaptation soon. And the second trailer is out now!
Watch it below:
Fifty Shades Darker continues the adventures of Anastasia Steele and businessman (who has a touch for bondage) Christian Grey. In the second installment, Steele and Grey try to rekindle their romance, but on Steele’s terms.
Fifty Shades of Grey was released in 2011 as a novel by EL James. It became famous for its portrayal of bondage/discipline and sadism/masochism (BDSM). By June 2015, it sold over 125 million copies, becoming the United Kingdom’s fastest-selling paperback of all time. However, reviews of the book were negative. Author Salman Rushdie wrote, “I’ve never read anything so badly written that got published. It made Twilight look like War and Peace.”
The film adaptation was released in 2015, starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. It was a box office success, but reviews were also negative. It won five out of six nominations at the 36th Golden Raspberry Awards, which recognizes the worst in film.
Fifty Shades Darker will be released on February 10, 2017.
