Hate on Robert Pattinson all you want, but I am IN LOVE with the first teaser trailer of ‘The Batman’ that was unveiled during the DC Fandome today.
The teaser is very dark set to ‘Something in the Way’ by Nirvana, and shows us not just Robert in the role of Bruce Wayne / Batman, but also the Riddler (Paul Dano), Commissioner Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), Penguin (Colin Farrell), and Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz). We also get to see Batman in action and hear him speak! MY DC HEART IS SCREAMING!!!

Matt Reeves, Director of ‘The Batman’, shares that the movie won’t be an origin story per se. It starts in “Year Two” of the emergence of Batman and various villains, and explores corruption and how it might connect to the rich Wayne family.
After suspending production of the film because of COVID-19, they have also announced that they will start filming again in September. So far, 25% of the movie has been filmed, and the official release date is currently set to October 2021.
