In honor of their late friend and fellow vlogger, Emman Nimedez, Cong and the rest of Team Payaman have created two short films dedicated to his memory with the goal of raising funds for Emman’s family.
The whole team split into two groups, Team A and Team B, for their “content war” with the theme “Pambansang Oppa,” which is what Emman was nicknamed after for his viral videos parodying popular Korean Dramas. The two short films were then posted on Cong TV’s YouTube channel on Monday, August 31.
Team A came up with the film “SKYLINE” inspired by a video message Emman send to Cong (real name Lincoln Velasquez) wherein he said, “Skyline palang ako tol.” Cong had shared the video, along with his heartfelt letter, on his Facebook page a few days after Emman’s passing.
Team A consisted of Cong, RogerRaker, Junnie Boy, Lee Sepagan, Beigh Sunga, Josh Pint, Bok, Vien Iligan, Pat Velasquez, and Angel Amaqui. It garnered 1 million views within the first hour of posting. “Lahat po ng kikitain ng video na to ay mapupunta kay Daddy Louie! Maraming maraming salamat mga Paa! (All earnings from this video will be given to Daddy Louie! Thank you very much!)” Cong said about the achievement.
Team B, meanwhile, came up with the film “Pop Love.” The group consisted of Titus Cee, Kevin Hermosada, Josh Drake, Yow, Jai Asuncion, Agassi Ching, Bods, Yunisky Mendoza, Mentot, Dudut, Peachy Santos, and Tita Krissy Achino.

Emman passed away at the St. Luke’s Medical Center – Quezon City surrounded by family on August 16, 2020. It was back in May when he revealed that he had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, which is a type of blood cancer.
