It’s been decades since iconic anime Cowboy Bebop last dominated the airwaves, but the series and its beloved characters still hold a special place in our hearts.
This is why we couldn’t help but be in complete awe when Japanese band Seatbelts, who had created the song that was used as Cowboy Bebop‘s anime opening theme “Tank!”, came together virtually to perform it once again!
Yes, their online performance is every bit as epic as we had hoped. It’s actually taking me on a nostalgic feels trip to the early 2000s when I would watch lead character Spike Spiegel kick butt on TV. Embark on the journey with me by watching the video below:
Cowboy Bebop follows the story of a colorful crew of bounty hunters, referred to as the Cowboys, traveling in their spaceship called the Bebop. It debuted in Japan in April 1998 and was later dubbed to English and aired on Cartoon Network. It was announced in 2018 that it will receive a live-action Netflix adaptation which is currently in production.
