On February 19, the Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) in Manila announced changes to the required supporting documents, which will take effect on Friday, February 20.
“In order to enhance convenience for visa applicants and promote visits to Korea, the required supporting documents for visa applications will be revised as follows, effective February 20, 2026,” it read.
According to the announcement, the submission of three months’ worth of bank statements will no longer be required across all visa categories.
For employment-related documents, the explanation letter will also be waived in cases where no landline number is indicated or when the document bears an electronic signature. As long as other reachable contact details—such as an email address or mobile phone number—are provided, the document will still be accepted.
Meanwhile, student applicants may choose and submit either the original School Certificate or a copy of their Student ID.
Finally, for multiple applicants, common documents such as invitation letters, proof of family relationship, and company-related papers must be submitted only in one copy. These must be attached to the representative applicant’s file.
The Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) is located at 9/F, Brittany Hotel BGC, Aura Complex, 6 McKinley Pkwy, Taguig City.
