Vice Ganda is set to return to the big screen with a new film, “And the Breadwinner Is…”! The film will be directed by Jun Robles Lana and co-produced by Star Cinema and The IdeaFirst Company.
The “Unkabogable” superstar, alongside Lana, announced the exciting news on “It’s Showtime.“ This marks their first collaboration as well as Star Cinema and The IdeaFirst Company.

“Your mother will be mothering again sa mga sinehan [in the cinemas]. Magbabalik pelikula po tayo para magbigay ng Unkabogability sa buong society [We will return to the big screen to give Unkabogability to the society],” Vice Ganda said.
Lana emphasized that many people will relate to the upcoming film, “At lahat nang inaasahan niyo sa isang pelikula ni Vice Ganda, yung saya at yung riot na comedy, hindi lang namin basta ibibigay kung hindi hihigitan pa namin [And everything you expect from a Vice Ganda film, the fun and riot comedy, we will not only give it to you. Instead we’ll exceed your expectations].”

The comedian also revealed that Jhong Hilario will be part of the film. Hilario, whose last film was years ago, expressed gratitude to his co-host. As of writing, further details, including the full cast and release date, have yet to be announced.
Vice Ganda starred in “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin,” “Petrang Kabayo,” “Sisterakas,” “Fantastica,” “The Super Parental Guidance,” and “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy.” His last film was the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Partners in Crime” with Ivana Alawi.
