It’s another proud moment for the Philippines on the international stage—Filipino fashion designer Veejay Floresca has just been crowned the winner of Project Runway Season 21.

Hosted by the iconic Heidi Klum, the finale brought together three strong finalists: Jesus Estrada, Ethan Mundt, and Floresca. But it was Floresca’s breathtaking collection, heartfelt story, and unapologetic authenticity that ultimately secured her the win.
As her name was called, Floresca turned emotional. “I’ve seen you, Heidi, since season 1. I was just a little gay boy in the Philippines watching the show, and I’ve always wanted to do this. And now, this is my time,” she shared through tears.
She also spoke about how she hopes her win inspires others to pursue their dreams: “I think this will really show my community that you can actually reach your dreams by being who you are.”
This is not the first time Floresca has represented the Philippines with pride. She was a runner-up in the very first season of Project Runway Philippines back in 2008 and later competed in Miss Trans Star International in 2022, where she landed in the Top 16—all while wearing her own creations.
Before moving to the US to expand her fashion business, Floresca was already a sought-after designer in the Philippines, dressing celebrities, brides, and pageant queens. Her latest triumph proves not only her talent but also her resilience and commitment to inspiring others.
Floresca’s win adds another shining moment for the Philippines on the global reality TV stage—this time for the world of fashion.
